Terms of Service
Tack — operated by a Netherlands sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak), KvK 82826757. Last updated: 11 July 2026.
1. Who we are
Tack is operated by a sole proprietorship registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK 82826757) in the Netherlands. In these terms, “Tack”, “we”, and “us” mean that business; “you” means the account holder. Contact: hello@tacktrading.com.
2. What Tack is — and is not
Tack is trading-automation software and general market information. You run a systematic strategy on your own exchange account, or receive general signals from our model.
Tack is not personalised investment advice, not portfolio management, and not a regulated investment or crypto-asset service. Our signals and software are identical for everyone and are not tailored to your circumstances. You decide whether and how to use them, you execute the decision (or arm the bot to do so on your own account), and you remain solely responsible for your trading and its outcomes.
3. Your funds and keys stay yours (non-custodial)
Tack is non-custodial. Your money never leaves your own Bitvavo account and we never take custody of it. You connect a trade-only API key with withdrawals disabled; the bot can place trades on your behalf but can never move funds out. Keys are encrypted at rest and isolated per customer. You can disconnect your keys or delete your account at any time.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18, have legal capacity to enter this agreement, and use Tack only where doing so is lawful. One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your login secure.
5. Practice mode and going live
Every account starts in practice (paper) mode — the bot trades a simulated balance so you can watch it work before any real money is involved. Trading with real funds only begins when you explicitly connect keys and arm live mode. We do not switch you to live on your behalf.
6. AI mode is experimental
The optional “AI” mode hands decisions to a large language model rather than the validated strategy. It has no proven edge, is locked to practice mode, and cannot place real-money orders. It exists to be experimented with, not relied upon.
7. Risk
Trading crypto carries a real risk of loss, including large drawdowns. Past performance and simulated or back-tested results do not guarantee future results. Only use funds you can afford to lose. Nothing in Tack is a promise or projection of profit.
8. No fees — Tack is not sold
Tack is free and invite-only. It is shared privately with friends, not offered or sold to the public. There is no subscription, no payment provider, and no charge of any kind — we never ask you for payment details, because there is nothing to pay for. Access is by invite code and can be withdrawn at any time.
9. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the service: no attempting to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users’ data; no using Tack to break the law or an exchange’s terms; no reselling or reverse-engineering the service to harm it. We may suspend an account that does.
10. Availability and “as is”
We work to keep Tack running but provide it “as is”, without warranties. We are not responsible for exchange outages, market data gaps, network failures, or losses arising from them or from your own trading decisions.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tack’s total liability to you for any claim arising from the service is €0 — Tack is provided free of charge, with no fees ever paid to us. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or market losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Dutch law (such as for intent or gross negligence).
12. Termination
You can stop using Tack and delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account, which stops and removes your bot and erases your stored keys and data. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Your funds always remain on your own exchange account, under your control.
13. Changes
We may update these terms; we’ll post the new version here with a new “last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you by email. Continuing to use Tack after a change means you accept it.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. Disputes go to the competent Dutch court, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence. EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.
